HAPPY HOLIDAYS! We’re taking December off our monthly meeting calendar, but we’ll gather again in the new year. Please join us at the January 27, 2026 monthly meeting of the Sawyer County and LCO Democratic Party. Stop by for a social hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.; stay for the business meeting from 6:30 p.m. to about 8 p.m. if you wish.

‘Free America Walk Out’ Rally in Hayward

Join a ‘Free America Walkout’ Rally Jan. 20 on Democracy Corner

You’re invited to a “Free America Walkout” rally from 2 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20, on the corner of U.S. 63 and Wisconsin 27 in downtown Hayward. The event is sponsored by Up North Engaged as part of a national movement sponsored by the Women’s March and other groups.

The Jan. 20 action is being held across the country to walk away from fascism and toward a free America. Bring signs and get ready to wave and smile at passing vehicles from the sidewalk. Note: If any sidewalks are covered with snow, meet on other open sidewalks in the area (not in private parking lots).

Please bring non-perishable foods for distribution to Sawyer County food pantries. People are hungry and SNAP benefits remain under threat.
