Community Potluck, Hearing on Line 5 Pipeline Set in Ashland

Join us for one or two events in support of clean water! The first event is a Community Potluck on Monday, August 11, at the small pavilion at Prentice Park in Ashland. Stop by any time after 4 p.m.; potluck starts at 6 p.m. Bring a dish to share if you can and learn more about protecting clean water in northern Wisconsin—including efforts to shut down the Line 5 oil pipeline.

The second event is a contested case hearing on a challenge to the Enbridge Corporation request for state permits to reroute the Line 5 oil pipeline. The hearing starts at 9 a.m. and continues as necessary on Tuesday, August 12 in at the Northland Technical College Conference Center in Ashland. The permits are being challenged by the Bad River Band and several environmental groups. Join us the day before the community potluck.
