With a theme of “7th CD Moving Forward,” the Democratic Party of the 7th Congressional District of Wisconsin is hosting its district convention on Saturday, April 26 at the Sevenwinds Casino, Lodge and Convention Center. The convention will be held from 9 a.m. to about 3 p.m., with registration from 7:45 a.m. to 8:59 a.m. Non-delegates are welcome to attend as observers, but they cannot vote and are required to pay a $50 registration fee. There is no guarantee of meals for day of registration.
Invited speakers include Mike Wiggins, former Bad River Tribal Chairman; Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison; and Bryan Kennedy, Mayor of the city of Glendale and President of Democratic Municipal Officials; Democratic Party of Wisconsin officers; and more. Kennedy recently threw his hat in the ring to serve as DPW chair following Ben Wikler’s imminent departure from that position.
Appointed delegates will elect officers for the 7th CD Democratic Party, consider resolutions for the DPW party platform, as well as conduct additional business. For more details, contact 7th CD Chair Nancy Stencil at (715) 581-7983.
