Join a ‘Free America Walkout’ Rally Jan. 20 on Democracy Corner

You’re invited to a “Free America Walkout” rally from 2-3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20, on the corner of U.S. 63 and Wisconsin 27 in downtown Hayward. The event is sponsored by Up North Engaged as part of a national movement sponsored by the Women’s March and other groups.

The Jan. 20 action is being held across the country to walk away from fascism and toward a free America. Bring signs and get ready to wave and smile at passing vehicles from the sidewalk. Note: If the corner is covered with snow and construction equipment, meet across the street in the old Kwik Trip parking lot.

Please bring non-perishable foods for distribution to Sawyer County food pantries. People are hungry and SNAP benefits remain under threat.
